Nature is firmly embedded in my DNA. In my autonomous work, nature is the basis of the thinking, creative process and ultimate object.

Nature is always my source of inspiration. In everyday life I try to leave a ‘footprint’ as small as possible, but in my works of art I want the greatest possible ‘footprint’ of nature, literally. For example, in my bronze sculptures you can find sprigs of heather and I use as much as possible collected and prepared natural pigments for the dye with which I paint.

The mixed media objects consist of material found in nature, but are not natural, such as plastic. These final objects, a combination of natural and non-natural elements, have a somewhat activist touch.

The mixed media together with poetry form the project-in-the-make 'Sea without salt'.
